Growing up in Victoria, then living in New Zealand for over 8 years as a young adult and then moving back to the Island and back to her Canadian roots, Jill is an Islander through and through! Jill and her young family moved to Nanaimo in 1980 and Jill started in her Real Estate career in February 1990. Life brought opportunity for change in 1998 and always enjoying a smaller community, Jill moved to Ladysmith where she has continued on with her Real Estate career ever since. February 2019, will be the start of her 30th year in Real Estate. This is something she is very proud of. Being receptive to change and working with the ebb and flow of the market are opportunities that Jill takes in her stride.

Jill enjoys a small-town atmosphere! Being close to Victoria, though, is so important to keeping in touch with out of town friends and family and clients coming to the Island. Having lived in 3 vital communities and working extensively up and down the Island, has been a comfortable experience for Jill. From Mill Bay to Courtney and the Islands, Jill is confident working in all communities, as well as Victoria. Don’t know the answer, Jill will find it for you! So often, when people are considering a move to the Island, knowing exactly where they want to be is often a huge question for the Buyer. Jill will spend the time and be committed to helping find the correct solution for the newcomer to the Island.

Moving to the Central Island has it’s benefits! Lower prices are great, but lower prices and Vancouver Island University, 2 ferry terminals to Vancouver, largest growing Airport in Canada, with flights to Vancouver, Calgary and inaugural flights to Toronto this year, as well as super friendly communities…well, the sky is the limit! Future expansions are being touted to Mexico and Hawaii. Time will tell and they are currently expanding the Airport yet again!

With almost 30 years of Real Estate experience, Jill helps her clients make an informed and comfortable decision of where and when to make their move. Jill feels that purchasing Real Estate should be an exciting – not stressful experience, whether moving across town or across the country. Giving clients information and knowledge about their purchase; knowing trades, inspectors, lawyers and accountants are some of the keys to Jill’s success in helping with clients.

Jill’s belief that giving back to community is essential to her personal well being and has been a proud past recipient of the V.I.R.E.B. Care Award which honours Realtors who have honoured their community by ongoing Service. Some of the organizations she has worked with are working with and Leadership in fundraising for the Annual Carnation Campaign for Multiple Sclerosis, Past Pres of Ladysmith Women’s Business Network, Board of Directors for Ladysmith Chamber of Commerce and 2 Terms on Ladysmith Town Council. She has also been honoured to have worked with a group of Business and Community Citizens on the future development of the Ladysmith Waterfront. The culmination was a document that the Town Council will refer to with it’s future development of this very important part as well as future of the Town of Ladysmith. Jill has also been involved with the cohesive coming together of the Town of Ladysmith and Stz’uminus First Nations. Working together is not only what good neighbours and friends do, but also ensures the successes of both communities. A win/win solution is the only one that will succeed for us all!

Though Jill’s Company name has changed a few times over the years, hanging her hat with Royal LePage Nanaimo Realty – Ladysmith office and their motto of HELPING YOU IS WHAT WE DO! is a company that readily adheres to Jill’s personal goals and philosophy.
